Timothy’s Review (at age 10)

Have you ever wanted to fold a really good paper plane, but needed some guidance?  Then these books are what you need.  In the first part of the book there is an introduction to the world of paper planes and instructions on how to fold paper planes that really fly.  All of the planes have different characteristics and I have to warn you … if you’re a purist and do not believe in the use of cutting or taping, then some of the planes in these books will not be well-fitted to your style.  In the second part, there are pieces of coloured paper with patterns on them, and crease lines to follow.  These you can rip out of the books and fold just to get started.

The World Record Paper Air Plane Book is for advanced folders, but the Kids’ Paper Air Plane Book is for … guess who?  :)

Ken Blackburn is the holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest paper air plane flight – 27.6 seconds!

This book is different from other paper plane books because it also has instructions to tweak and fly these planes as well as games you can play indoors and outdoors using the planes you fold.  Tweaking a plane is helpful because not only does it make the plane fly better, but with practice, you can use these techniques to make your plane do all sorts of tricks to wow your friends.

All in all, I recommend these books to anyone of any age, and of any ability.
